ALL CURRENT DRIVERS - TIME FOR RENEWAL
If you are a currently approved driver for students to and from events, please note your currently approved status expires on January 1, 2024. Only approved drivers can drive students to and from games, field trips, activities, etc.
To renew your driving status please do the following:
- Complete and submit Form 559-1 Transportation in a Private Vehicle. Click HERE
- Complete and submit the Driver Abstract Consent Form - do NOT submit your own drivers abstract, as BRSD is required by their insurance company to request their own - and it's free! Click HERE
- Submit a copy of your CURRENT Alberta Driver's License (Front and Back)
- Submit a letter or a copy of your CURRENT Vehicle Insurance Policy (not your pink card) stating you carry $2,000,000 Liability
This info can be brought into the office, or you can email Sherry at sjenkins@brsd.ab.ca.
All forms received by Tuesday, December 19 will be submitted before the break. All others will be submitted in the new year. Please note it will take time for them to be approved.
If you ARE NOT a CURRENTLY APPROVED DRIVER and would like to be, please follow what was stated above.
If you are unsure if you have submitted documents for THIS YEAR please contact Sherry at sjenkins@brsd.ab.ca. Forms can also be picked up at the school office.
The office will not be contacting people with expired information. Please ensure you know your info is up to date.
